One of Dr Seuss' incredible creations, Gertrude McFuzz was a bird with a tiny tail. She wanted so much to have the biggest, most beautiful tail in the world, longer and more magnificent than any other bird...and then she got what she asked for. A tail so fabulous, so brilliant, so BIG, that it was too heavy to lift! She had to rely on all the other birds to be able to fly and learned an important lesson that having more than everyone else, isn't always a good thing.
We created our Gertrude's with watercolours and ink!
