Zentangle Owls

These owls were a hit, we created them on day two and every other day had kids who wanted to do one as well.  Using a template the owls were drawn on and then painted with acrylics. Once dry a whole lot of detail was added using black texta. How brilliant are these?

Sail Away

What better to paint at the end of a long day than a relaxing yacht sailing peacefully on a lake?  These were painted freehand (no templates!) step by step and then painted beautifully with watercolours.

Word Collage

Big, bright and beautiful, these collages shout out a word or words that are inspiring to each of us. It's amazing how many of them say Mum!

Picasso Self Portraits

Picasso was a Spanish artist born in 1881 and is best known for his work with Cubism. We were inspired to create self portraits in this style - can you pick out who is who? We used acrylics and ink on paper.

You can read more about Picasso and his life here.

City Scape

We created these cityscapes by cutting wacky shapes in paint samples and layering them over watercolour washed skylines. I love that every one of these is so different!

Monet's Waterlillies

These paintings were based on Monet's painting "Bridge Over a Pond of Water Lillies" and were created using wax crayons to mask in the bridge and lillies and then a wash of watercolour paint was applied for the sky and pond.

You can find out more about Monet here.
