Triangles

The idea was to use triangles to create cats of various types - lions, tigers, jaguars etc but with the imagination of these kids there are now dogs, rats and other strange creatures coming to life.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

School Holiday Art Class - Day 4 Crazy Giraffes

The last project of the day was crazy giraffe drawings using pastels on black paper. Sadly I only remembered to photograph a few of them. Love them though!

School Holiday Art Class - Day 4 Silhouettes

Using acrylics (and in one case watercolours) we painted the background with a sunset, moon rise or under the water, the silhouette was then painted over the top. Some used templates to get their animals in the right place, others went freehand and some combined the two. All completely different, which never ceases to amaze me.

At the end of the last day, we asked the children to pick their favourite art works from the day, and here is what they decided:

 This one was really fun although it took ages to dry. The images are drawn on to black paper with pva glue and when dry, the spaces are filled in with color using chalk pastels.
